Norway’s most famous violinist, Arve Tellefsen, has played with ‘’everyone’’. He can now add the Arctic Philharmonic to that list – 60 years after his musical debut.
This year marks 60 years since the one and only Arve Tellefsen, Norway’s most famous violist, debuted at the University of Oslo’s ceremonial hall, the Aula! Now with more than 40 albums to his name (far more if you count contributions on other artists’ albums), he has accepted Henning Kraggerud’s guest invitation. Afterall, Kraggerud, the Artistic Director of the Arctic Philharmonic’s Chamber Orchestra, is currently among the leading violinists in Norway.
Tellefsen’s album catalogue is unbelievably comprehensive, spanning everything from Beethoven to Arne Nordheim. On this memorable evening, we will hear Tchaikovsky (Serenade for Strings), while Kraggerud will play spiller Daughter of the Sun with the Chamber Orchestra. We also promise an exciting surprise programme featuring Tellefsen, Kraggerud and the Chamber Orchestra.
